Wireless connection problems

Is there a reason why an iPad has trouble maintaining a connection with the router one room away? My laptop and smart phone connect and stay connected the entire time I use them. The iPad constantly drops the connection and switches to verizon 3G. I have to constantly watch to be sure I am not on the phones data plan.

I am having the same issue. I have the New iPad (3). I am thinking that I need to contact apple and have them help me troubleshoot this. Will let you know

Possibly resetting the router itself may help. This used to happen to me with my iPad 2, but after resetting the router, it was back to normal
