yahoo id name

My wife recieved an ipad for christmas. I set it up for her but never have i logged in to my yahoo account. Nor have i typed it in anywhere. I don't even use this email account any more. I recently downloaded a couple of games and at the start of each game it says welcome back "ghostio69" which is my old yahoo address name. How the heck does my wifes ipad know this name.?????????
I'm so confused.

Both have Game Center support. Is it possible you registered with Game Center using your old name, or your wife did? Take a peek in the Game Center app and see who it thinks you are.

yes thankyou. that was it. im not sure how game center got my id in the first place but i was able to change it.
