You tube app parental controls

I want to know WHY the ipad youtube app does not have ANY type of parental controls!?!?!?!?
Amazes me that this day and age, specific large companies, manage to add every feature possible to their products under the sun BUT not a single security control.

'Settings', 'General', 'Restrictions' and then select YouTube. That will prevent it being accessed by a user and there's a password so that it can't be turned off.

Thanks Tim! appreciate your help...
But i was referring to parental controls/filters within the youtube "app". There are so many cartoons (i.e. Dora) that are labelled by the author "not suitable for children" that depict obsenities and there are no suitable settings that prevent these from being played. I believe it is the responsibility of google that these options are available as you would expect to have in a browser. I realise there are software filters for browser plugins out there, but a browser has to be used and this defeats the purpose of using an ipad where the consumer expects to use apps.
I think that simply providing for an "off" button to disable the app is not a parental control but merely an app option.

OK - sorry about that. It might be worth emailing the app Developers and suggest that they incorporate this option in the next release of the app.

as far as I know it is the same with embedding videos. on youtube parental control, as soon as you embed the vid, there is no sign.
