YouTube issues ...

I'm having trouble with YouTube...if I open it and search on my own, it functions properly and videos will play normally ...but if I follow a link or click on a thumbnail video from other forums it opens YouTube and then says can not load movie ....anyone else ever have this problem?

That looks like the message I get when I'm trying to view a YouTube movie that is in Flash format.. The error occurs because the iPad can't decode Flash...

If you use the YouTube app to search YouTube for movies and videos, it filters out all those in flash format so all the movies that are found when searching with this app will display properly.. But, following a link you get off the net can take you to a Flash format YouTube video.. Flash videos will cause the iPad to display the message you're getting.

Ann gotcha ! No flash is the only complaint I have about the iPad...
So is there anyway to watch the video from the link without it being flash?

Nope. You have to understand that the movie in question IS in fact a flash file. So you cannnot view that exact movie 'without it being flash'. You can search for a substitute which may be saved in a different format, which the iPad can play.

Thanks, most of the time the title dosent show up so I can't search for the exact title ....
