Is there a way to download YouTube vids with app on to iPad ta

Not sure if there's an app to do it, but there are numerous ways to download videos from youtube onto iTunes, then straight to your iPad. However, bear in mind that most sites that allow converting content have files from unknown sources, so they may pose a risk to your computer.

There is an iPhone YouTube app, that works for the iPad as well. Look under iPhone apps for YouTube.
There are other apps, such as Jasmine and YouPlayer, that play YouTube videos.
