Hello, I am new in this forum. I have a question about iPad Garageband. This morning when I wanted to clear out some unused projects, I accidentally deleted my ongoing Garageband project on my iPad 2 :(. I dont have a Mac. I have been trying to search for assistance, but most of them have a Mac.... Is there any way I can recover my deleted project? It is still unfinished, and I could not afford to lose it. please help.. Thank you

*since I dont own a Mac, I have never backed up my projects to iTunes. I only backed it up via email.

I'm sorry to have to tell you that your accidentally deleted project is gone forever. Without a backup, there's no way to recover it. Unfortunately, the iPad does not have the PC equivalent of a trash bin where you can go to recover recently deleted items.

Unless you've been backing up to iCloud, it is gone.

If you have, and have not overwritten the backup yet. Check under Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage; choose your device and see when the last backup was. You can also check which apps are included in the backups here. Make sure Garage Band was/is turned on. If the last backup was before you lost the data you can try restoring the entire iPad from the backup.

Hold in mind you can only restore the entire iPad. This means you'll lose anything you did since the last backup.

Also, there is an inherent risk in restoring a device. Sometimes you just don't get the stuff back. I've never met a backup that should be considered %100 reliable. That's why most experts recommend at least two backups, one at a remote physical location; so that local events like fires and floods don't get everything.
