Can I use MP4 Video

Presently, I use a laptop for Backing Tracks for my "one man band". I sometimes use karaoke files downloaded from YouTube. Can I use these on an IPad??. I am considering buying one to replace the laptop.

If you are asking if the iPad can play mp4 files the answer is yes, in general. I have hundreds of them that play on mine.

But what do you want to do with these files? The options with the iPad are limited. And, not all MP4 files can be played on rhe iPad... Luckily, there are many conversion programs.
