Downloading Email Attachments

Forgive me if this has been asked before - I haven't seen it in other threads, but is there a way to download jpeg or image attachments from email and save them in ipad image files? I assume a specific app would be needed to do this, but not sure. Any advice would be helpful.

Hi, Bill. Touch and hold the picture you want to save and a dialog will open which will include an option to save image.

I hope this does what you want.

Thank you - tried it and works great. Is there a way to attach an image as an attachment to send in email?

I start at photos. Open an album, tap edit, and choose one or more photos. A share option will now be available. Choose email and now complete the email. I think you can use a copy option by tapping and holding the picture and choosing copy and then pasting in an email, but I've not tried this.
