The Health app is an iPhone only app and doesn't appear on the iPad. The Health app will work with the iPhone 4s and newer and the iPod Touch 5th generation.I have iOS 8 but the app isn't here anywhere. How do I get it?
iPhones are much more portable than iPads and are quite easy to take with you when exercising. Also, the new Health app is designed to work with the new Apple Watch when it is released next year, whereby the built in sensors in the Apple Watch can transmit its data directly to the Health app in the iPhone. In addition, the iPhone 6 has a barometric sensor that measures changes in elevation, such as when running up and down sloping trails or stair climbing. It would be quite inconvenient to carry an iPad with you during this type of activity which is why the Health app isn't likely to appear on the iPad.Darn. Wonder why they didn't do it for all of them and if they will later.
