hi ihave done all you have said but still get the same error .my itune is up to date ihave very first internet it old ipad ihave used almost an year iwas updating it and some thing happened and it could not complete any ideaYour iPad seems to be connected to a computer.
If this is the first time you connect it to this computer, make sure iTunes on the computer is installed and up to date. The latest version is 11.4. You'll also have to be able to access the internet.
Before you can use iTunes to activate your iPad, you'll have to confirm that you trust the computer. This popup will appear on your iPad's screen. After trusting, you'll be able to use iTunes to set up your device, restore it, back it up, ...
Restarting the iPad could help: turn it off, then on again.
Also try resetting it: press and hold Home and Power button until the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons and let the iPad power up on it's own.
