Hey guys how do you close background running apps in ios7? Used to be fine in ios6 but can't find a way to close the background apps. I double press home button and the running programs all show but there doesn't appear to be a way to close them. Thanks.

Double press the Home button like you used to but this time, under iOS7, you will see a small screen representing that app above the app icon. Just swipe up on that screen and the background running app will be no more

Manually closing apps all the time causes wasted system resources as well as battery power. The best practice is to simply leave them and let the system manage them. You really only need to manually close apps that are misbehaving.

Oh thanks! Is there a way of closing all the running background apps at the same time??

No the system does not cater for that. But think of what you would be missing. That fun tactile swipey feeling as you shoot down each app;)

There isn't, but there is surely a faster way of closing the apps. Check it out : A 2/3/4 finger upwards swipe, keeping all your fingers on different apps closes many apps at once, specifically, those on which your fingers were.
