I am having trouble trying to back up my IPad to iTunes. I want to back it up on a Mac computer as that Is the machine i originally connected it to. This is not my own computer because I have a windows 7 PC?

I have to connect the iPad to my PC now but I do not want to lose what I already have on the iPad so that is why I need the backup. That way I will be able to reinstall anything I lose on the iPad.


Why can't I see the iPad on the mac now.

The only reason I bought a new Ipod with 3G was so I could use it as a GPS when I am travelling. I have downloaded a good app that shows me the route before I leave home because it is connected to wi-fi but when I am out I will have to use the salletite but I cannot find how to make that work.

Can anyone help me. I do not want to purchase another sim card as I already have a mobile phone for making phone calls and can even use it for data if I want to but I do not see any necessity to do that outside.
