128Gb iPad 4

I just realized Apple released a 128Gb model. I was surprised they did this. Does anyone know if there was an official announcement or did they just slip it into the store?

It was announced a while ago. They've been available in BestBuy for several weeks, but $929? A bit steep, I reckon when you can get an MBA for not much more. Still, horses for courses, and all that extra storage is great if you can afford it.

I would prefer the MBA personally, but, I'm sure there's a market for 128GB iPads.

I'd like to see the numbers on how many have purchased it.

You can tell when folks don't login everyday and also fail to check the front page!

Personally, with the way I use my iPad, the 128GB version would be very useful. Even more useful than a 128GB MBA. But then again, I have several laptops and don't spend a lot of time with my MBA. But if I had to make a choice between 128GB laptop and iPad, I'd pick laptop everytime. I get my laptops via work, but buy my one iPads.
