3D interactive globe (i.e. Google Earth) for iOS app development?

I'd like to have something similar to Google Earth embedded into an iPad app, which will involve a 3D interactive globe with hotspots that can link to whatever I choose.


Unfortunately, Google Earth's API and the OpenGL platform are not supported in iOS. I've searched the web for other APIs or platforms to work with but to no success. Any tips from developers that have worked on similar projects?
