4wd off road maps for ipad

Hi I am new to this forum I hope someone can tell me about apps for 4wd off road maps I know about the hemma app from itunes but how do i get other maps from my dvd, (raster map collection ) and paper maps scanned on PC onto the Ipad and how do I access them to use, I am some what confused also technically challenged.
Hope someone can help.
