First of all, welcome to the forum!

I notice however, that these are exactly the same apps that appear when I go to the App Store on my iPad and select the Top Charts option.

True - but you only see the top apps in your AppStore (not in the UK AppStore or elsewhere).

Wish we had the Amazon app. Would be top here too.
