I started with 5.0 GB. My biggest file is my camera roll with 2.9 GB. Can I transfer them to a jump drive? If so, how? If not, what is the best option other than deleting a bunch of them? I'm not ready to buy more storage but is that what most people do? 5.0 GB of storage must not be very much.

Have you considered transferring your photos From iCloud photo sharing to your computer?
