Hello all!
So, I'll try to explain my situation as best as I can, and am hoping to get someone who knows what they're doing to help me.
I am a photographer. I bought the iPad 2 as a "mobile portfolio" to take to clients and show what I do. Better than carrying around a dozen print portfolios.
So here is my question:
I have 2 computers - one is a desktop, on is a laptop, both PC's. I do a LOT of editing on both machines, and have literally thousands apon thousands of images spread across both computers.. At this point, both computers are fairly full, and hard drive space is limited.
So, what I want to do is, plug my Ipad into computer "A", the Laptop. Fire up iTunes and load a bunch of photos into folders on the iPad according to subject. Aircraft, Animals, Architecture, etc. This way, I can tailor each folder to be a different portfolio, depending on the clients interests.
Now, I've got pretty much all the photos I need from computer "A", so now I want to move to computer "B" and load more edited photos into the galleries I've already created on the iPad. So, 50% of my port is on "A", and 50% is on "B". I want photos from BOTH machines to make a complete library on the iPad.
So, how do I ADD photos from "B" onto the iPad without overwriting everything I loaded from "A"? Is there any way to just add photos to the iPad from "B" without having to take everything from the iPad, put it on "B" and having a duplicate and identical library on BOTH machines? it's a waste of limited space. Plus, I don't want to add a few photos to the photos section on machine B, sync, and lose all the music/video because I don't have the same music on A as I have on B.
Does that make any sense? lol.
Any help would be appreciated. The last time I tried this on one iPod and two machines, every time I synced, it wouldn't add to the iPod, just wipe it and have either ONE library or the other, never both.
Cheers, and thanks!
