Adding multiple mail accounts

I can install one mail account on my new I Pad2. My wife and I have 4. When I try to install the second one, the IPad tells me that the name or the password are incorrect. They aren't. Multiple tries produce the same result, for all three remaining accounts.

What am I doing wrong??

OK - one suggestion. The iPad, by default, sets to upper case the first letter of the first word it perceives to be a new sentence. If your passwords are lower case, check the iPad is not setting them to upper case. If it is, just hit the Shift key before typing the first letter of the password.
