No problems. I noticed small improvements. The iPad 2 doesn't get everything that the newer ones do. For example the new one has the screen rotation lock in the lower pull up window.
The new one has AirDrop, and the iP2 doesn't.

The iPad 2 will have either the Mute or the Rotation lock in the Control Center (pull up panel). It depends on what you set the side switch to do in Settings > General. The Control Center gets whatever the side switch doesn't do.
It's been this way since the Control Panel was introduced in iOS 7. Before that it was part of the Multitask Bar, now called the Multitasking Screen.
The iPad Air 2 has no side switch, so both features show up in the Control Panel.
