Not letting me add you as a friend, add me as a friend please. Cant help you out with towels and toothpaste, but will be able to help you with other items needed futher into the game.
Guys and Gals, Ive been thinking of what Kevin the Moderators been saying about using another thread for what we need and what we have, but aswell as this forum, and some of us have mentioned a way to talk to eachother ingame. How about skype? We create a room, and players give their name in this forum and we invite them into the room, and then we can communicate between eachother, and hopefully get gifts when needed, and that. (just a thought)

Thanks for giving this some thought, MadSimmy. I'll offer a few pointers if I may.
First, we don't allow social media links in posts. The workaround for this one is to put your Skype name and email address in the relevant place on your profile page, then invite potential co-players to check out your profile page for contact info. (Part of the reason for this is that you will get horrible amounts of spam if your contact info appears in posts.)
I've just found out that you can set up a group within iPF, which you can use for semi-private correspondence. I don't know whether this would be useful to you. I don't know yet how to go about setting up a group, but if need be, I'll do some digging and find out. Please note that these groups are moderated in the same way as the rest of the forum.
You can also add each other to your friends list, so that (using the website view) you can see when your friends are online at a glance. This is pretty useful when you have friends in different timezones.
Feel free to ask for any help you want in using the forum. It's a great resource, and only made better by the participation of the members. The staff will do everything possible to make your experience the best one possible.

If so could we have a sticky with Lilly's post of what is needed for each building? Then possibly specific folders for introduce yourself/add me, I have to gift and an I need folders? Just some ideas. Or are you suggesting something along the lines of a new thread for each category?
I personally created a signature because I thought I wouldnt be taking up as much room, lol. That way I wasn't posting a long list every few pages of haves and wants. It is a question that comes up quite a bit. It is hard to skim through 30 pages of posts to see who has what and who needs what. When you search by name for specific players you get their posts in every thread and still have to skim.
I don't give out links to my emails and dont use social media. I like my privacy, lol. Using forums is my perferred method.

Halfpint_x.Whats your game name. Just complete the missions as best as you can, Save your notes, as you'll need them in time. Dont accept every outside flights, as they take your fuel or public. Visit your neighbours and do what you can, give the gifts your neighbours need mostly, if you dont have them, give fuel or passengers.

We can certainly make stickies within such a subforum, but we could not do it in the general list of threads, because every game has the potential for requiring stickies. I don't blame you for not wanting to give out personal information. That's one reason I would like to be able to help with making iPF the only place you need to go to get the info you need. Some will use Skype etc, but others will not want to, and we need to cater to those people too.
One thing that might work once we have a subforum is for each active player to have their own thread where they can update their info as needed. But please don't do this until the subforum is up and running. The game section is chaotic enough as it is.
One thing that is really useful to the mod team is if you could report off topic posts and spam appearing in your threads. We can then delete as appropriate.
