Guys, bit of strange one, with my new Ipad, the Sound volume slider changed the ringer volume accordingly however the alert volume does not sound more than about half the ringer volume. Tried resetting completely 3 times and problem remained. Returned iPad to store and was told by technical guy who confirmed what I had found, and said he had heard of this from other owners. He gave me the option of another new iPad which I have now found acts exactly the same.
