Angry birds iPad tech question

Am new to playing angry birds.

I have to continually use my fingers to zoom out to be able to see the whole game. Example......slingshot and target at once.

Am I missing something here?

I just "squeeze" in the screen in from two sides to make the whole screen visable and playable.

As above, just pull two fingers together on the screen, and that should exten your field of view
