Hi all,
I have had my ipad2 for two months now and getting bored already all the games seem to be reskinned games, camera is not too good but I like the augmented reality apps and photography. I had the iPod touch then upgraded to iPhone 3G that broken one day and would not restore because of some internal signal error or something but it was one of the faults that bricked it and had nothing else for a while before I got the ipad2. I've got no broadband at the moment as I have just moved but I have a 3G connection with 10gb monthly usage allowance.

The apps don't seem to have changed much and I've not seen anything really stunning with ipad2 yet and I feel like I've tried almost everything and often dismiss games because there the same game just reskinned. I used to have my iPod touch jailbroken and found it made it buggy and reset quite a bit. Is anyone jailbroken on 5.0.1 and can seen anything impressive that has impressed you I may go down this route just to find something to do on the ipad2.
I don't know where games are going nowadays but all this login everyday and u can only play the app when they permit because you need energy is driving me mad along with in app purchases and extreme over pricing. I've not seen one app I would use daily worth paying for or upgrading really.

So what do you guys do for hobbies using your ipad2 is there any impressive apps out there that have wowed you? Give me some ideas please free apps would be better. more things to do outside with the iPad 2 would be good.
Is there any good websites out there that show you good things to do while jailbreaking?
Any advice is good thank you

I use my iPad for spending large amounts of time hanging out on this forum, playing Tiger Woods Golf (at least until the courses open), mapreading, email and web browsing, listening to music, reading books and generally entertaining myself. I also use FaceTime and Skype for overseas video calls. If anyone ever writes an app to remote control a truck, I'll use that too.

My son uses it for playing games when he lets the battery die on his iPod, which happens with depressing regularity.

Games get boring for me too. I like all the travel and map apps. Few suggestions are tour wrist, live cams pro, earth cam, and up next maps. All fun and great to kill time. You can travel the world without leaving your living room.

You could learn how to hook up a External Hard drive using camera connection kit to watch movies!

I have plenty of things to do and not get bored but my daughter "got me addicted" to Words with Friends". It is amazing to find out all of the words you didn't know were words. Try it!

I use mine for my hobbies. I have to confess I'm a bit of an anorak. I go train spotting and plane spotting and the iPad is admirably suited to both of these pursuits.
I spend a lot of time on Facebook, with friends and family.
I am also a bird watcher but haven't as yet tried to use it in the field.I don't really need the camera as I already have a more than half decent DSLR

How about grabbing GarageBand or Thumbjam and making music?

Or taking some video and editing it into the next great indie short film.

Or going over your photos with iPhoto and making them pop.

Or if none of those appeal you can always use it as a chopping board :)

Haha some great ideas! I like the livecam apps too I forgot about those. I was looking at the CCK for my 1tb hard drive but I'm on 5.0.1 can I still do this I heard iOS 5 won't let me?
I'm sure there's loads to do but it's interesting to see what other people do. And yes R/C trucks and drones are cool would love one.....
Please PM me for donations..... Haha

Keep them coming guys and gals!

Perhaps Khan Academy? There is nothing like learning a new thing or two every day .. regardless of your age. In fact they have a new app for the iPad.
