App issue

Does anyone have an idea why the CBS new app won't work? It won't open just hangs then closes. I deleted it then reinstalled still zip.

Try powering the iPad completely down rather than simply putting it to sleep. Press - and hold - the Power button until the slider control appears and then accept the offer to power the iPad down. When the screen has gone completely blank - takes a while - power up again and see if the problem persists.
