App store password issues when purchasing but not updating.

Hey all,

Before my last update I could purchase new apps through the app store by inputting my password as normal. Since the update the app store will allow me to update my apps by inputting the password, but says that the password is wrong when I try to purchase. My wife's iPad 2 works fine but I have also noticed that I no longer get automatic downloads of apps she purchases like I used to.

Im wondering if it's because my apple I'd is different to the one we use in the app store, but then this has never been a problem before.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
 
One 'solution' that other Members have found to this problem is to sign out and then sign in again.

Go to 'Settings', 'Store' and then sign out and sign in again.

It seems to fix the problem in some cases.
