App to speed up ipad?

There's an app/tweak called FastClockUp. It doesn't really affect the operating system of the iPad but it does take lag out of the "gui" interface. So, for example, Safari will open very quickly ... although you do still have to wait until it avtually loads a page.

You may not think it would make a difference, with the op system not tweaked. But, I can testify that stuff works faster.

Agreed, but it's called fakeclockup, isn't it? :D. The reason it is "fake" is that it just changes the timing of the OS animations. It does not actually speed up anything! It is amazing however in that it makes everything "feel" as though it is faster. Very odd indeed! I like it...

Oooooops! You're right - FAKEclockUp. My bad...

Hope you didn't have too much trouble finding it in Cydia, KenjiBeast. :o

Thanks for the correction, f4780y.

Sorry to say it's the way FakeClockUp runs.

I've got some package installed where now they don't wiggle at all (they just tilt sideways). Give me a bit and I'll think through them to try to remember which one it is...

P.S. In case it wasn't clear - the "stopping of the manic wiggling" effect was a by-product of some package I installed. A good side effect, yes, but not one I expected/planned/searched for.

my icons wiggle like their on crack! anyway to stop this or is it part of fakeclockup?

That's what it does. It just changes the default timing of animations on the operating system. So every graphical effect is speeded up. Look at how your wi-fi spinner spins now! Supa-Fast! LOL

It's also quite fun to turn the speed down and watch everything go in slow motion...

You've got to add the Moyashi repository to Cydia (just type in hitoriblog.com/apt/ in the block when you go to add a source ... keep the http:// part, BTW).
