Today I synced my ipad with my laptop and those apps suddenly appear,with white icons as show below. Has anyone been in this situation before ? Can anyone explain this to me?

This is most likely a web page link which you accidentally saved to your desktop.
To test just press it.
Press and hold, get the jiggle and press the x to delete.
I find this usually to happen after doing some jailbreaky stuff to Springboard, wether it's hiding an icon or installing a new Cydia app. You can easily respring instead of reboot instead, which I recommend because it's much quicker.
