Apple is expanding its strategy with enterprise partners, and according to AppleInsider, the company has expanded its App Store Volume Purchase Program (VPP) to 16 important new regions - Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, and United Arab Emirates.
Previously, the program was only available in major Apple regions such as the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Italy, France, and Germany. Apple has updated its website with information regarding the expansion and also notified developers via email.
The VPP program was released back in mid-2011 as a way for businesses and educational institutions to purchase applications at bulk at a discounted rate. To make use of this program, developers must manually choose to make their apps available for volume purchases.
Free apps are also available, and the program also provides custom B2B apps built uniquely for by third‑party developers. Besides apps, books from the iBooks Store are available for purchase through the program.
