Apple Insider reports today that Apple’s iPad shipping times for new online orders for both Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi and 3G models have finally returned to “Within 24 hrs†status, which would seem to indicate that Apple is now on top of the previous iPad production issues, and supply is now meeting demand. The supply problems have dragged on for months, ever since the device’s launch in fact, with the shipping wait period seeming to have been stuck on 7 to 10 days for far too many months, before reducing slightly to between 3 and five days, until finally now reaching its happy under 24 hours status. As AppleInsider reports, Apple has sold some 3.27 million iPads since its initial launch, and probably could have sold many thousands more if only supply had managed to keep up with demand. Many more iPad launches in many more countries are planned by Apple before the end of the year.
