According to a report on iLounge today, Apple has designed a new Smart Cover-style case for the soon-to-be-released iPad. This new cover will apparently have a magnetized front section, just as with the iPad 2’s Smart Cover, only this time around it will also have a cover to protect the back of the iPad, and it will be made from fiberglass covered with PU/bicast leather. According to iLounge, the new case will be similar in style to Incase’s Magazine Jacket for the iPad 2, pictured above. iLounge says that it is not known whether or not this new case will be just for the iPad 3, which is said to be slightly thicker than the iPad 2, or whether it will be backwards compatible with older iPad models. Recent rumours have referred to an unknown peripheral will also be unveiled on iPad launch day, which is this Wednesday March 7, so could it be this new cover, or something else entirely? [/FONT]
