AppleInsider reports that KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that there is a more than 70% chance that Apple will launch the forthcoming iPad Pro at its WWDC keynote on June 5. Kuo says that the timing would make sound sense for Apple, with its suppliers currently preparing for mass production to begin at the beginning of June.
Kuo forecasts that Apple can expect shipments of between 5 million and 6 million units of the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro in the current fiscal year, representing 15% of total iPad shipments for 2017.
The new 10.5-inch iPad Pro is said to have a very similar form factor to that of the 9.7-inch model, but the thinner bezel means that it will have a larger display. Kuo thinks that the bigger display will help to improve the user experience and also to attract more customers in the enterprise market.
