Application Install Never Completes

Greetings,

I have 2 applications that have never completed their install. The progress bar is almost at the end but never moves. And it has been days. They are not paused either.

What is the best way to just remove them? I cannot delete them or anything.

Thank you in advance for the help!

Welcome to the forum! It's good to "see" you and I hope you enjoy your visits.

By you saying "can't delete them" - I'm going to assume you've tried to make the icons wiggle (so you can get the "X" to delete them) and they won't wiggle?

Have you tried to restart or reset your iPad? To do (apologies if you know):

Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears.

If that doesn't help, try this last step...

Reset: Hold both the power and home buttons until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo then appears (the slide to unlock screen may or may not appear). Once the logo appears, release the buttons. After a time, your homescreen will appear. Please note that it may take some time for the Apple logo to appear or for your homescreen to appear (or both). This is normal. Eventually, the homescreen will appear.

In between restarting and resetting - see if you can make the icons wiggle so you can delete them. Or, see if the restart or reset "kicked" the download process into action (as in, they finished the download).

Here's hoping this works. Good luck and do let us know how you get on.
