Why can’t I delete a previous Text ?

I updated to 18.4.1 and tried to put finger on a text expecting it to come up More and select all you want deleted. Whoops now it says copy! How would I delete ?

To delete a Text Message you need to swipe left and select the trash can.

Which App is this text in?

In Apple's Messages app.

Tap-hold the text message. Choose More from the pop-up menu. A blue checkmark will appear to to the left of the text. Select the Trash icon at the bottom of the screen to delete the text. Or tap additional texts you want to delete, then the Trash icon.

Note: You can choose the right arrow at the bottom to forward the text to another person.
