apps that work with ipad 1

just updated the directv app on my ipad 1 only to fnd out app o works with ios6+. app won't work and i can't go back to early version of app. apple opened up the ability in the app store the ability to download the last version of apps that works with my old iphone 3gs. does anyone know if app store is planning to do this for antiquated ipads?

It should work either your iPad 1, unless the app developer has decided not to allow the download of earlier versions of the app. Have you contacted the developer to ask if he supports the download of earlier versions of the app?
