are powerbanks harmful to batteries? which one do you use?

Howdy, I want to get a powerbank but I'm not sure which one to choose. There's a myriad of powerbanks online. Some offer ridiculously high power capacity (20.000mAh) which is hard to believe... Some people I've talked to claim that powerbanks can be harmful to batteries for some reason. What do you think? Apple doesn't have products like that in their offer...

Oh, that was totally new to me! I don't have any idea to be honest if they are harmful to batteries but I'm so glad you open up this matter as I also want to know more about this thing. You were right that Apple doesn't have them in their offer. Anyone care to explain this to all of us here?

Power bank is just an external battery to extend the use of your device. Charging will take not longer if you charge the ipad and the power bank simultaneously with each respective charger. The only draw back is it cost extra money and it adds a little weight to your portable outfit.
