It is only three words, but it was enough to get speculation revved-up: Is AT&T admitting it’s iPhone deal is coming to a close? In a late-Friday filing with the Security and Exchange Commission, Apple’s U.S. partner told regulators exclusivity contracts on ‘a number of attractive handsets’ are about to end.

What I don't understand is what prompted him to relay this tidbit of information. No one truly knows when the deal between AT&T and Apple ends so were there grumbling from stock holders?

Honestly if the remain competitive with their pricing model (with Verizon atleast) they should not really see a huge change in new subscribers.
