avi files and itunes

Hi all,

this is a newbie question, I know I've searched the net but there are a lot of different opinions...

The main problem is to transfer avi files to my ipad2.
If I move them to the itunes window, nothing happens. It seems to be a normal behavior, considering that it doesn't recognize avi files...
BUT so why there are a lot of player for avi files?!? I've bought AVPlayerHD, but it's useless if I can't move avi files to the ipad..

What am I doing wrong?

Are u moving your avis to the AVplayerHD specific folder? Not just to any iTunes window but to the app folder below all the other apps in your iPad section.

BTW there is a free alternative to the AvPlayer just for start.
