Backing up purchased apps

Hi,

I understand that I can only sync from my PC to my iPad, and not the other way round. So if my PC crashes, I will have to re-download all my purchased apps.

Can I backup all the apps in "C:\Users\User\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications" and simply copy these apps into the same location on a new PC if my old PC crashes, so I won't have to re-download the apps in iTunes?

Yes, that's what I do when I change computers I just copy apps and music over to the same location in the new one. Saves from downloading them all again or having to convert all my music back into iTunes.
