Batter use app

Can someone please recommend a good app to monitor battery life & use? I'm still figuring out my new iPad that I received for Xmas, and have followed most of the battery saving suggestions but it's still burning through battery unnecessarily fast. Thanks!

How fast is fast? If you have your push notifications set to every minute or the screen brightness cranked all the way up this may be part of the problem. Most can get 10 hours of use before getting low. Are you watching mostly video?

battery drain

Well, it seems to go down 1% for every 10 minutes I'm using. I think I finally figured out the email glitch - had changed the push but not the fetch on my account. It's still going down that much though, and that's just poking around the app store, browsing the web and listening to music. It didn't seem to go that quickly the first few days I was using it, and I was watching video then.

I have the brightness down, so that shouldn't be it either. Just curious if there are any other suggestions. Thanks!

PS I'm still so painfully new to this machine that I couldn't spell out battery properly in my post - DUH!

Well, it seems to go down 1% for every 10 minutes I'm using.

If you do the math on that, then it is dropping 6% every hour. That means, if you use it for 10 hours, you will still have 40% of your battery life left. Sounds like excellent battery life to me.

10 min * 6 = 60 Mins = 1 hour
1% * 6 = 6% / hour
