My new iPad's battery drains about 10% overnight (about an 8 hour period). My iPad 2 drained barely 1% during the same time period. The strange thing is that there are times when it doesn't drain at all overnight. I have turned off all notifications, have nothing running in the background and have all mail settings set to manual. If I put it into airplane mode it barely drains at all, but I don't want to have to always do that (and with my iPad 2 it didn't drain in standby even with Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G on). Does anyone have any thoughts as to what could be draining the battery during standby?
