Battery questions

I bought an iPad3 two years ago and I believe the battery has recently started to malfunction, it barely lasts a whole day.

a) Is it possible to change batteries? If so, what's the best way to do it? And how much will it cost me?

b) How many years is it supposed to last?

c) I read something about a new smart cover for the iPad that also recharges batteries. Is this already available?

Thanks in advance!

The battery is supposed to retain 80% of its capacity after 1,000 charge cycles. If the iPad is out of warranty, the fee to replace the battery is $99.00.

If you are getting a whole day out of it you are not doing so bad. It's supposed to last 10 hours.

Even if you charge it from 0 to 100% every day, the battery will still last 8 hours between charges after 3 years, according to the 80% formula.

Anyway, Flavio, how have you been keeping? Last we heard, I believe you were using your iPad as a teaching aid. How is that going?

Generally speaking, the expiration of a battery is 3 years. You can come to customer service supervisor to change the battery.
