Bulk Mail

Does the bulk mail email box have any purpose other than for junk mail storage?

Are you talking about the iPad's native Mail app? I don't have a mailbox with that name. If you're using the IMAP mail protocol (which you would have set up in Settings) then your iPad mailboxes are simply a reflection of those on your service provider's email server and you can change those yourself using webmail, if you don't like the names. You can add additional mailboxes/folders too - in the same way that you can using Windows Mail.
