Calendar connected with facebook

Hi, I have the ipad2 same as my husband, but I've just realised that in his calendar all his friends birthdays on Facebook are in there and he has a drop down list which he can tick if he wants them on there or not. I've looked in his settings to compare and the only thing I can think of is his e mail addresses are gmail accounts whereas mine are aol accounts. His account setting he has notes, calendar and mail whereas I have the option of only mail and notes. Hope I've explained myself well so someone can tell me why, oh and also his iPad has 3G would that make a difference not that he uses the 3G. Thanks

I un installed FB and installed it again and then calendar and contacts came up..thank you for sorting me out once again..now I'm a happy bunny..night night from Spain

Are you running iOS 6?

Are you logged into your FaceBook account under Settings > FaceBook?

Only then will you see the options to turn on/off Contact and Calendar syncing.

Did you not see my later thread? I uninstalled FB and installed it again Nd the option came up thank you again wizard..x

Nope, didn't see it. It takes a few minutes to make a Stitch screen shot. I was probably still editing it when you posted.

No problem. Glad to help.

Explaining why I missed your post, not complaining. I tend to decide a post needs research or a screen shot in the middle of composing, so I often take several minutes from start to end, even if it's only a dozen words.

And sometimes I only type those dozen words.
