Camera trouble

I got my I Pad for Christmas. Today I took a video and hit th end button after viewing it. Now when I go to the camera all I see is black and can not get it to show me anything. What am I missing here?

Once you have finished shooting your video,it is moved to the camera roll in the photos app.Did you look there?

I powered down my device and the camera is working fine now.
