Can I buy books on Amazon that I can read on my iPad 2?

I have a book I'm looking for that I can read on my iPad2. I found it on Amazon for Kindle (Amazon.com: When the Church Was a Family: Recapturing Jesus' Vision for Authentic Christian Community (9780805447798): Joseph H. Hellerman: Books) but don't know if it would install on my iPad.

If not where would I go to download books?

Yes.

Steps:

-- Load free Kindle app on your iPad.
-- Use your browser (Safari or otherwise) to go to Amazon.com's Kindle store.
-- Create account (or use existing account) to buy the Kindle version of the book.
-- Sign on to your iPad's Kindle app with the same Amazon ID and password.
-- Download book and read.
