Can i play my m2ts files on ipad 3 ?? please help

So, i just recently got a ipad 3 and was under the impression i would be able to play my m2ts bluray movies on it, but so far no luck, i have tryed a few movie playing apps for the ipad but they all glitch and carry on, i have also tryed converting a m2ts file to mp4 and i tunes still wouldnt accept it, if any won could help my it would be much appreciated,

use handbrake. Do it all the time and it works fine.
