What's new

Canadians....

Well Mike.... Our choice of books is very limited here until Apple works something out with the publishers. Winnie the Pooh and this are the only things we can access that are not part of the Gutenberg Project. It is useful for all newbies so maybe I was remiss in not drawing it to everyones attention. Thanks for correcting me.

I thought it was just me that was sick of Winnie the Pooh. I downloaded the Kindle application and have been buying books from Amazon.com - they opened up the Kindle ownloads to any country that now sells the iPad.

This was an earlier post I made. The iBook store has expanded the choice of books available.

I know too bad for Apple too I go tired of waiting bought books from Kobo and I am not going to start buying books from iBooks.

I discovered that any books I was interested in were far less expensive on Amazon although I do like the iBook format. Cost supersedes format in this case.

The prices really depend on the book and the store. Then there's availability.

So I keep an account in four stores just to keep shopping options open.

I rather have spam from book sellers than Viagra pushers.:p

Thanks for the tip. I actually haven't used the iBooks store since the first day. The Kindle app and Amazon store have a way better selection with (usually) much cheaper prices. I was also very impressed to see a few magazines and especially newspapers that you can subscribe to monthly.

For magazines, try Zinio. Awesome.
