Cannot get gmail to sent emails

Hi, im having a little problem with gmail on the ipad mail app, im able to download inbox emails but cannot send any emails out, does anyone have the same problem or did and found solution?

ive set it up the same way i did with my iphone, selected "other" and added the imap.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com

If you can receive than it is most likely a setting in your outgoing server. I had a similar issue with a non-Gmailo account and it was a password issue.

thanks for the replies, i finally got it working

i guess it was the outgoing server set up, i typed in the same smtp.gmail.com username and password twice and it worked the second time, weird

anyway, thanks for the help!
