Cannot search for apps

I am having a problem searching for apps on my ipad. I can access everything but when I search it keeps sayin connection timed out or something like that. Everything else is working completely fine so it's really odd that this one particular thing is screwy. What can I do?

I think what's happening is that Apple's servers are getting hammered because of the new iOS 7 being available for download - and everyone wants it NOW (!). That's what I tell myself as I, too, can't get into the AppStore.

I'm afraid we'll just have to wait until things settle down and all the rush (and heavy downloading) has ended.
